Our Doctors

DR. Kar Wing Cheung, MD CCFP

Dr Cheung is a caring female family doctor. It is always her goal to be a family doctor to provide comphrensive care to her patients. She speaks also Cantonese and Mandarin.

She began her health care career after she obtained her B.Sc (Pharm) degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. She worked as a community pharmacist for 6 years while she continued her medical study at The University of British Columbia.

After she obtained her medical degree (M.D), she moved to Edmonton, Alberta to complete her Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Alberta. During her study she also worked as an extender physician at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital and Misericordia Hospital to provide care for the patients at the psychiatric, surgical and family medicine unit.

Dr Cheung is also passionate in aesthetic medicine. She offers consultation and procedures for skin pigmentation and rejuvenation. She also provide services for injectable such as botox and fillers.

Dr Liu, MD CCFP

Dr Liu graduated from the University of British Columbia School of Medicine. She then completed Family Medicine Residency training with the University of Alberta. She is a strong advocate for preventative medicine and believes in compassionate, patient centred care. She has a special interest in woman's health, including the insertion of Intrauterine Device (IUD) for contraception. She is skilled at performing office based procedures, such as toenail resection, lipoma/sebaceous cyst dissection and biopsies. She is fluent in English and Mandarin. She is also a clinical lecturer with the University of Alberta and teaches medical students. 

Dr. Roger Wu, MD CCFP

Dr. Chi, MD CCFP

Dr. Chi is a caring family doctor who is passionate about patient centred comprehensive care. He was born and raised in Edmonton. He speaks English, Mandarin and also understands Cantonese. He graduated from the University of British Columbia School of Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Alberta. He is also a Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta School of Medicine and teaches medical students. In his spare time, he enjoys playing ice hockey, skiing, and chess.

DR. Ping Yun (Ivan) Ho, MD CCFP

Dr Ho is a caring male family doctor who speaks in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

He first pursued training in Neurosurgical Residency Program at the University of Alberta. After three years of Neurosurgical training, Dr. Ho sees practicing Family Medicine as his ultimate goal and complete Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of Alberta.

Seth Heckman, MD FACOG

Dr. Heckman is a caring Obstetrician/Gynecologist educated, trained and board certified in the United States. He has performed a diverse array of surgical and nonsurgical interventions for the full scope of gynecological conditions and managed pregnancies of all circumstances. He, his wife Cecilia (also a doctor), and their 2 small children moved to Canada in 2015 and settled in Edmonton. Dr. Heckman believes that true healing means the full removal of disease and is constantly trying to take new approaches and perspectives to reach that goal. He has traveled extensively and worked with many cultures exploring this. He seeks interventions that require a daily pill or a body altering surgery as rarely as possible. Above all else he values the relationships that long term wellness based care can foster. To that effect Dr. Heckman no longer practices hospital and surgery based obstetrics and gynecology but makes referrals whenever appropriate. Doctor Heckman is taking consults within his specialty as well as managing a panel for primary care of women suffering chronic gynecological disorders.
